Three Winding Coupled Inductor-Based Dual Active Bridge DC-DC Converter With Full Load Range ZVS Under Wide Voltage Range

In this article, a three winding coupled inductor-based dual active bridge (TWCI DAB) dc-dc converter is proposed. Similar to the current-fed DAB converter, proposed TWCI has small input current ripple and wide voltage range. addition, zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of all switches in full load range under variation can be realized. With magnetic integration structure, size total magnetics reduced, efficiency also increased compared with discrete case. To better analyze working principle inductor, general analysis method based on reluctance model first introduced obtain expressions high frequency current. Furthermore, ZVS inductor design low root mean square (rms) conditions, maximum power transfer rms are presented. Finally, validity topology verified by experimental results from 1-kW laboratory prototype.
